How to Write a Contrast Essay
How to Write a Contrast EssayCompose a contrast essay by choosing the right topic and a few vivid examples to use in your writing. Contrast is an essential element in literary style and it can affect your entire composition. A writing that is full of contrasts is hard to read, but it can also be extremely expressive. You can grab readers' attention and set the tone of your entire writing just by contrasting a few different topics. There are two different types of essays that can be written for your course. The first type is an essay that revolves around one particular topic. This type of essay will follow an interesting thesis statement and address some specific points of contention. If the topic is from a single source then this type of essay can be a bit dry. On the other hand, if the topic is from many different sources then it will be more complicated.A contrast essay that combines different types of topics will be an interesting article. It will explore many different issues that a variety of different areas could be addressed. There is no specific order of how to compose a contrast essay. You can write it any way you want or you can jump in and start writing it without putting much thought into it. Just make sure that each paragraph is an example of contrast and that they are written using specific topics that you will be addressing.Use concrete example that is close to the topic. It is important to always point out the comparison, especially when writing a simple topic of conversation. Show, don't tell. If you can't explain a concept without giving it away, then you aren't going to be able to convey it effectively to the reader.Color-coding works. You can use different colors to separate two sections of your essay and also to represent different sections. You can use colors that depict major differences in your topic or those that show conflicts that might exist between the two topics. The choice is yours. You can always 'cut and paste' throughout your ess ay. Make sure that you're cutting at the most meaningful points and don't end up copying and pasting the same sentence. You can change the arrangement of paragraphs as well. If you want to put it in the form of a question or statement, then you should indicate that on your paper. This will make it easier for the reader to understand what your main point is and will also make it easier for them to remember the main points of your essay.Summary statements and conclusions can also serve as a contrast to add emphasis to your essay. Keep in mind that you want to keep the conclusion a bit ambiguous. It doesn't have to be too clear. Your main point should still be clear. You can always add a sub-point after the conclusion to more clearly articulate your main point.Part of being an article writer is to produce articles that are informative and entertaining. Although an article that is informative and entertaining is highly recommended, there are times when it is not. You can add contrast by moving to another page. This is also good because you can change the topics of your essays at anytime.
